Wedding Wednesday {Happy in Hilton Head}

What place is more beautiful to pledge your life to the one you love than a white, sandy beach?  This Hilton Head wedding found at Aisle Candy, has such a relaxed Southern paradise feel!  The combination of deep navy attire with warm floral arrangements pops against the creamy white sand!  I have always loved billowing Spanish Moss trees; they just shout the South to me ("Gone With the Wind" fan that I am).

Ahh...those trees...just magical!

What better time to get married than the 4th of July...let your love light up the sky along with breathtaking fireworks, sparklers, and festive fun!  Take a look at these weddings & engagement shoots to put you in the spirit for SPARKLE!!!

Of course, if you do decide on a holiday like July 4th for your wedding day, you will definitely want to give your guests a heads up with a cute Save the Date card.  Check out these two options from Wedding Paper Divas.

And finally, a 4th of July Real Wedding found on Snippet & Ink!  Alisa & Tim's outdoor 4th of July wedding sparkled with red, white, and blue accents & plenty of DIY charm!

The bride and her Mom made quilted table toppers and fabric button magnets as seat cards.  Guests were asked to sign the back of fabric squares with fabric pens.  Later, the Bride's Mom put the table toppers and guest squares together to make a beautiful heirloom quilt for the happy couple.

Two Florida Seminole Sweethearts, Ashley & Paul, celebrated their wedding with a gold, garnet, and navy outdoor wedding with plenty of Southern charm!  I found their wedding feature at Southern Weddings...take a look at the highlights!

I love the different styles of bridesmaids gowns in the same color and length.  Notice that the two maids of honor wore gold shoes (love it)!

A beautiful setting for the ceremony; two shepherd hooks held mason jars filled with colorful bouquets marking the entrance.

Fabric swatches in the color scheme were used as escort cards and vintage blue and white straws add a festive touch to the reception!

I can't tell you how much I love these firefly mason jars!  I want some for my house!  Wreaths were made from burlap to decorate the bride and groom's chairs.

such a cute picture!

How awesome is this S'mores station?

Wedding Wednesday {Colors of Savannah}

Happy Wednesday, folks!  Time for another beautiful wedding...well, make that two weddings!  Sam & I went to a friend's wedding on Saturday, but silly me forgot my camera!  What kind of blogger am I, really???  But, I did manage to snap a few pics with my phone.  They're not the best quality, but it was better than no photos at all, right?

Amanda, the beautiful bride!

Congratulations, Amanda & Josh, I wish you all the happiness in the world as you begin your journey as Mr. & Mrs.!

While searching for wedding ideas, I found a one at Southern Weddings that took place in one of the prettiest cities I know...Savannah, GA!  We visited last year and I loved the beauty and history of the city!  One aspect that stuck out to me about this wedding is that the bride did not choose one or two colors, she chose them all!  I am smitten with  anything rainbow-colored, so I absolutely LOVE this wedding!

There were pops of color in the flowers and decor, but the attire (like the Vera Wang wedding gown) & food was kept simple, yet elegant,  so as not to go into color overload!  All aspects of the south were incorporated into this celebration such as BBQ, Bluegrass music, pecan-topped cookies, and a rock candy decorated cake!  It looks like such a fun and whimsical evening!

The aisle was lined with mason jars filled with wildflower bouquets hung from garden hooks embellished with colorful ribbons.

The ceremony was set up in the middle of Greene Square in Savannah.

Gray curtains lined the reception tent interspersed with multi-colored ribbons!

An old window turned chalkboard served as a cute sign for the sweets table.

Ribbons were used again to top the tables.

The happy couple wheeled away into married bliss!

Wedding Wednesday {Vermont Charm}

Hello, long time... no post...I know!  We took a little trip to WV for Memorial Day weekend to visit family and it's taken me a while to get back in the groove!  But, I'm back now & making some BIG changes to Moo Moo's & Tutus!  Please forgive the sparse posting over the next few days while I the re-designing takes place!

I found a beautiful, shabby chic wedding to show you today.  From the new & improved Southern Weddings blog, this is the wedding of Kate & JoJo.

The setting is this beautiful, rustic Vermont farm near a lake.

a painted name sign and hanging place cards

The reception was under a white tent with hanging paper lanterns.  Notice how the green table linens match the grass perfectly!  Chalkboards were used for table numbers.

My favorite aspect was this photo station; complete with a frame ~ makes such cute pictures & memories!

First Wedding Wednesday

I'm making a few changes to my blog schedule...I can never keep things the same, always changing my mind, so please bear with me!  For a year and a half, I have been featuring parties on my blog.  But, I seem to have forgotten my other passion...the celebrations of love; WEDDINGS!!!

So, today begins my new series of Wedding Wednesdays.  Since Memorial Day weekend is almost upon us, it's time for us to honor all those who are serving, or  have served in our armed forces!  So, I thought I would show you some beautiful Military weddings, engagement photography, and proposals!

In this proposal found at Southern Weddings, the Bride-to-Be had to complete 12 challenges & get 12 roses from 12 Marines to find "her Marine" with a ring.

This vintage-style engagement session, found at The Wedding Chicks, is full of romantic photos of the Groom, who is on active Military duty, and his Bride!

The decor of this beautiful North Carolina wedding, found at Southern Weddings,  centered on a naval color scheme of blue and white.  Their tables at the reception were named after famous ports!  The groomsmen were all in dress whites...love that! :)

I was smitten with this engagement session, found at The Wedding Chicks!  One of my all-time favorite famous photos is the "War's End Kiss!"  I even have a purse with that photo on it!

This amazing vintage wedding, found at The Wedding Chicks, was for a couple who both love aviation!  Their reception was held at Oxford Airport, entertained by a 1940's style band...I was so born in the wrong decade because I LOVE this!
I'm sending a HUGE thank you to all of you out there who have served {and are serving} in our armed forces!  It is because of YOU that we can enjoy freedom!  I pray God's protection on each & every one of you...happy early Memorial Day!
