YAY, it's Friday, happy people!  Today, I wanted to share a Baby Sip & See with lots to MOO about... from Half Baked!  The theme is milk and I immediately fell in love with the cow print and the milk bottles...too cute!

The invitation was double sided, with one side being cow print.

Modern & Sweet Food Table

Ummm, milk...does a body (and baby) good!

The favors were "Kisses from the Baby"; a pretty package with decorated kisses inside.

Guests were asked to write wishes, advice, and funny thoughts throughout the shower.

such pretty milk jugs...almost too cute to drink, right?
Have a yummy Friday, friends!  :)

New to the shop today is my BABY UNDER CONSTRUCTION Printable Collection!  This collection was designed for my sweet friend, Bridget, who is having a baby boy in July.  She already has an adorable little girl, Livia (Noah's "girlfriend"), but I wanted to celebrate her first boy with a little shower at my house.

I chose orange, lemon yellow, and black for my color scheme.  I also designed a silhouette graphic of a pregnant girl to be my "Construction Logo," {B.U.M.P ~ Baby Undergoing Master's Plan}.

I put my "Bump Ahead" sign on the front door with some caution tape.  I also lined the driveway with traffic cones with balloons tied to them.  {It was so hot that day, the balloons popped before I got a picture~ugh!}

I set the table with a yellow tablecloth and a runner made from orange burlap.

I wrapped mason jars with the burlap too to hold my daisies interspersed with (Noah's) tools

I wrapped my silverware in white linen napkins, folded them to look like diapers and pinned them all together with diaper pins.  I topped them with yellow bows.

I served lime chips with queso dips, veggies and cucumbers, sausage rolls, lemon blueberry trifle, and a fruit salad. (YUM!)

I hung strips of caution tape around my beverage table.  I served sweet tea and lemonade in my mason jar glasses.  Then, I tied on my cone drink tags with each guest's name.

I ordered delicious cupcakes from a local bakery, Sweet Celebrations and then put them in my orange burlap wrappers and then added my cupcake toppers.

I set up a favor table with goodies to help keep the guests' hands pretty ~ nail polish and manicure supplies.

The guests got to fill up these cute baskets with their favors to take home.

Guests were asked to write baby boy advice in this "Baby Boy Blueprints" book for the Mommy to keep for future reference. :)

I decorated my mantle with framed lyrics to the children's song, "He's Still Working On Me" and some of Noah's construction toys.

I also framed our Construction sign.

During the shower, guests were asked to choose an iron-on transfer, and iron it onto a onesie for the new baby boy!

Here are all our cute onesies!

And finally...the super adorable Mommy!
Bridget, I am so happy for you and can't wait to meet the new baby Luke!  Best wishes!

One of the hottest new trends in baby showers is a gender reveal party...such a cute idea!  I came across this adorable Gender Reveal Party at Bella Grace Party Designs!  Lindsey, the author of Bella Grace Designs hosted this shower to share the news of the gender of their third child with family and friends.  Guests were asked to "pick a team"...either Team Pink or Team Blue.  They were asked to wear either pink or blue to show team spirit!  Then, the inside filling of the cupcake revealed the gender to the parents and party guests...it was pink which meant baby girl #3 for their family (so sweet)!

Cupcake Toppers: Cakes and Kids

One of my dear friends, Jennifer, is expecting her second child in September.  She and her husband, Shane, have a precious little girl who just turned 3, and now they are expecting a boy, Colin Lee!  Last week, I helped host her shower at the cutest restaurant EVER, The Tin Roof Cafe, in Sevierville, TN.  I knew that I had to design a rustic, shabby chic theme that matched the ambience of the cafe.  So, I decided on What are little boys made of? Frogs, Tails, & Puppy Dog Tails.  I used a color scheme of blue, green, and brown & tried to incorporate all natural elements.

I was very pleased with how everything turned out & I hope Jennifer had a wonderful time at her shower!  Take a look at the photos.

the invite

the setting
This is the Tin Roof Cafe.  Is is not so cute?  This picture was taken in the fall {from their website} because I forgot to take one during the shower.  :(  If you're ever in the Sevierville, TN area, you must visit!

the tablescape
The cafe provided the white tablecloths, & we brought the rest to dress up our tables.  I found woven placemats at Bed, Bath, & Beyond for $1.99 each {steal}!  I also ordered black river rocks from Save on Crafts to write the guests' names with a silver paint pen.  I finally had a reason to dig out my white linen napkins with blue embroidered flowers that I found at a flea market years ago!

the place setting
For the centerpieces, we put daisies in mason jars, wrapped them in burlap & tied them with twine.  So simple, yet such a design statement!

the dessert table
This is my favorite part of the shower.  I wanted rustic & I got it!  To make the cake stands, I found Basswood rounds at Hobby Lobby for $3.00.  Then, my sweet Husband found some wood for me (he does work at the Forest Products Center at UT, so it wasn't too hard to find)!  He cut the wood into 2 short pieces.  Then, he attached the rounds on top with screws ~ so easy, but I absolutely love them {endless possibilities}!  Then, with the rest of the wood, I needed a way to hang my backdrop, so he drilled a hole in each section, I inserted a dowel rod, & slid on a curtain!  Voila, it was done!

Cupcake Wrappers & Toppers
Since the cafe provided their delicious food, all we had to bring was the dessert. One of my co-hostesses ordered the cupcakes from Sweet Celebrations & they were de.li.cious!!  Another one of my favorite shower aspects was the burlap cupcake wrappers I made following this tutorial from Katie Grace Designs.  I LOVED how they turned out!  I then added my cupcake toppers attached to wooden popsicle sticks.  I think they turned out pretty cute!

other centerpieces
For the other part of my centerpieces, I took plain terra cotta pots, filled them with river rocks in my color scheme (again from Save on Crafts~love that place), and inserted my 6"circle tags on wooden sticks.  I tied pretty ribbon around the sticks & had a cute centerpiece!

Mantle Decor
I was so excited that I had a mantle to work with, so we used another mason jar of daisies & my burlap covered C (for Baby Colin) which rested on a metal easel that resembled branches (found at Big Lots for $3, my friends) :)  Jennifer got to keep that for Colin's nursery!

more mantle
For the other side of the mantle, I placed my "Wishing Rock" for Colin.  The guests wrote one-word wishes with a silver sharpie on black river rocks and put them in the hollowed out rock (found at Jo-Ann's).  The chalkboard frame was DIY.  I bought the woven picture frame on sale at Khol's for $5.00.  I removed the glass and spray painted it with chalkboard paint.  i heart it so much!  :)  Now, Jennifer can keep Colin's Wishing Rock for him to add wishes as he grows!

There was already a candle montage in the fireplace, so we took advantage of that too.  I strung twine across the front with command hooks and added clothespins (blinged out with blue rhinestones) to display all the cute little boy outfits).
                                the favors
For the favors, I followed the tutorial on Bakerella to make my version of her Cowgirl Cookies.  I thought they were too cute, but I needed it to match my theme, hence the Puppy Dog Tail Cookies.  All the ingredients are in the jar to make a dozen cookies.  The recipe sticker is on the back.

cute Mommy
Here's the cute Mommy, Jennifer with her little Princess, Lillian.  She makes pregnancy adorable, doesn't she?
future big sis
Can you stand the cuteness?  She is so sweet & is so excited about having a new baby brother!  I wish the Sims' family blessings & happiness as they welcome sweet baby Colin into the world!
