Royal Wedding Week {Day 3}

Well, ladies & gentlemen, the BIG DAY has finally arrived!!!  I saved this last Royal Wedding feature for today because when I saw it, I felt like I was a wedding guest!  It is so beautiful and looks like it belongs at the Royal Reception.  From Hostess with the Mostess, a breathtaking navy (inspired from Kate's ring) and yellow party collection (with a host of FREE printables).  Planning a fairytale-theme bridal shower?  These printables are surely fit for a Princess!

Hint: the gold cake stand was made from a garden urn and a charger!

To download your FREE printables, visit Part 1 & Part 2 of the HWTM Royal Wedding post.

So, have fun watching the wedding, my friends!  Cheers to the happy couple!

Royal Wedding Week {Day 2}

Another option for a chic and beautiful Royal Wedding viewing party is from one of my fave party gals, Kim, of The TomKat Studio.  She designed a free collection with a navy & red color scheme, and included the royal wedding date, and of course, the royal couple's names.  I {heart} the "Keep Calm and Marry On" print too! :)

{Kim created an awesome Royal Wedding inspiration board.}

Royal Wedding Week

In honor of The Royal Wedding taking place on Friday, April 29th, I thought I would give you a little inspiration for hosting wedding-viewing parties.  I was planning on designing a free printable collection to commemorate this "modern fairytale wedding," but I found so many cute collections already out there!  So, I'll just point you in the right direction.  So, welcome to Royal Wedding Week!  During the next three days leading up to the wedding, I will show you different ways to host your viewing party along with FREE printable collections.

First, from Design Editor, this Royal Wedding printable party collection features the regal colors of blue and red and includes graphics of the royal crown and the British flag.  Strawberries and orange juice would be perfect for starting off your viewing party with a Pre-Wedding Brunch!

To download your own set of printables, please visit Design Editor!  Cheers!

Happy Monday, ya'll!  Now that everyone has had their fill of chocolate bunnies and jellybeans, I thought it would be nice to have a recipe for some good ol' comfort-food today!  I found the recipe for "Easy Cheesy Bacon Biscuit Pull-Aparts," at Picky Palate.  It has 3 ingredients and they just all happen to be my favorites...cheese, bacon, and biscuits!  I'm a Southern Girl, what can I say?

{Here's what to do...}

(1) Spread the biscuits in an iron skillet or a baking dish (cover the pan).
(2) Cover with cheese.
(3) Add bacon & another layer of cheese.
(4) Bake according to the directions on the biscuit package.
(5) Enjoy!

Toddler Tuesday {Paci Fairy}

Something very magical happened at our house last night!  Since the very first day Noah was born, he has been soothed by his pacifier.  For the last few months, we have been trying to detach from the paci, and Noah would only want it during naps and bedtime.  However, he was VERY attached and would not listen to prompting from us to get rid of it.

So, we told him about the Paci Fairy.  She comes at night (somewhat like the Tooth Fairy), and takes all the pacifiers.  She then delivers them to the newborn babies in the hospitals.  In return, she leaves a special toy for the "big boy/girl" as a thank-you!

I had been planning on creating our own Paci Fairy for a while, and when I saw this post on This Blessed Nest, about a special Tooth Fairy Door, I knew we had to install our own.  I bought my dollhouse door at Hobby Lobby, painted it black to match our front door, and added white number stickers for our address.  Then, Daddy installed it in Noah's room right next to his bed.  This will forever be our Fairy Door and all the fairies use it (not just the Paci Fairy).  We left the key to the door out in a cute little egg cup also found at Hobby Lobby.

Then, Noah received a special letter from the Head Paci Fairy herself, Pacibella!  She wanted him to write a wish list for 3 things he may want to have in return for his pacifiers.  She would then choose one of those prizes to bring him on her journey to our house.

So, last night was THE night!  Noah decided that he could go to sleep without his paci, and then in the middle of the night, Pacibella came!  As promised, she left Noah a Thomas the Train set and a magic heart.  We're going this week to Build-a-Bear to make a new Fuzzy Buddy.  Noah will get to put his magic heart inside the Fuzzy Buddy to help him fall asleep easily!  She also left lots of pink fairy dust behind!  Mommy doesn't like messes, but she decided that the pink and sparkly messes are the best kind! :)

So, do you have a toddler, who needs to get rid of the paci?  Well, I decided to offer  a DIY printable Paci Fairy Kit in my shop.  You get a personalized kit with the choice of 7 different fairies and 5 different patterns to invite your own Paci Fairy into your home!

This DIY Printable Kit is $8.

MmM Good, Monday {Resurrection Bread}

I saw this recipe/activity to do with your kiddos a long time ago and knew I wanted to do it with Noah this Easter.  We have been trying to explain to him the REAL meaning of Easter and he's starting to understand.  So, I found this recipe to make Resurrection Bread at From Glitter to Gumdrops, and wanted to share it with you.

{Here's what you need to make the bread}...
The marshmallow represents Jesus and the crescent roll represents the cloth the soldiers wrapped Him in after His death on the cross.  The oven represents the tomb.  After the rolls cook, open the roll, and show the child that the marshmallow (Jesus) isn't there because He is risen!  Awesome!

{Here's what to do}...
  1. Preheat your oven o 375 degrees.
  2. Mix sugar and cinnamon in a bowl.
  3. Melt butter in another bowl.
  4. Roll marshmallow in melted butter & coat with the cinnamon/sugar mixture.
  5. Completely wrap the marshmallow in the crescent rolls.
  6. Bake for 10 minutes or until golden brown.
I'll be sure to take pictures when we do this activity this week to let you know how it goes!
