Toddler Tuesday {Our Snow Tiny Teach & A Free Download}

First of all, let me tell you about how much fun we had during our Snow Tiny Teach Unit!  For once, I actually got everything done that I had planned.  I got to use my laminator (that I got for Christmas) for the first time & I LOVE it!

It was the best time for us to have our Snow Unit because during the last two weeks, we had the biggest snow I can remember since I was a child.  Daddy made Noah one of his favorite childhood treats ~ Snow Cream!  He made it several times during our snow storm and tented it different colors each time.  This was our blue snow cream!

For lunch one day, I made Noah his very first peanut butter & jelly sandwich cut with a snowman cookie cutter.  For a long time, he said he didn't like peanut butter, but then at Christmas, he changed his mind.  His review of this lunch: "Mama, this is goooood!"

Here's a few of the snow lessons we completed.  I downloaded them from Musings of Me and Confessions of a Homeschooler.

Noah is counting snowflakes on his snowman counting mat from Itsy Bitsy Learners.

He's putting number cards in order, also from Itsy Bitsy Learners.

...and then he drove his train across it as a track!  Everything becomes a train track at our house!

For breakfast one day, I made Noah a Snowman pancake with cranberries as the eyes, mouth, and buttons, an orange candy for a nose, pretzels for the arms, and powdered sugar for the snow!

Noah showing off his letter s sound sort from Musings of Me.

Here is Noah's Milk Man I made him for breakfast this past week.  Remember the tutorial here?

So, we're on to our Penguin Unit now!  Then, for February, I have broken our month into 2 units ~ H is for Hearts and V is for Valentine's Day.  I have noticed around blogland that there are several awesome printable units for letter V.  So, I decided to create a unit for letter H & H is for Hearts.  It is 21 pages long and includes activities for sorting, patterns, writing, color words, letter recognition, number recognition, and counting.

If you decide to download, I would love comments!  Also, if you do this with your child or students in your classroom & blog about it, I would appreciate a link back to me!  Have fun!!!

We just finished our Snow week and loved it too! I tried the sound sorting but realized it doesn't work well when John says 'pider' for spider and 'nake' for snake. Hard for him to realize those are 's' words! haha! Thanks for the new downloads!

WOW, what fun activities, Daphne!! I'm impressed you've still been plugging along because I've been a big fat failure at MOmmy School! You inspire me to try again!!

I have downloaded the H is for Hearts and can't wait to use it - but I found this great page on first school that has several different projects for making animals from hearts!

My little man loves koalas (why and how, I'll never know) and ladybugs, so those will be at the top of my list.
Thanks so much!
