Thrifty Thursday {Storage Den}

Michelle is the writer of one of my favorite organizing/design blogs, three men and a lady.  She is an amazing designer & always tries to find the thriftiest ways to accomplish her decorating goals.  One of my favorite rooms in her house is her den/office.  The colors, straight lines, and touches of whimsy all come together to create one incredible room!

Here is a view of the whole room.

She used storage boxes from Ikea, yard sales, and thrift stores to fill her shelves.

She had a shelf made to fit between her desks and covered it with pretty ruffled fabric suspended from a tension rod.

 To get the exact placement for her frames, she taped paper the size of the frames to the wall first.

She made her cork board from a mirror she found at an estate sale.  She just repainted it, replaced the mirror with cork and covered it in burlap.  Read about the DIY project here.
