Thrifty Thursday {Playroom Reveal}

Hello, friends!  Well, I finally got my playroom / craft room/ organized & done!  Whew...it was rough!

Here is the room BEFORE!  Wow, what a mess!

We had TOO MUCH stuff in a small space!

And, here is the AFTER!

Another view of the room ~ we have a jungle / animal print theme!

My desk area for crafts & such:  the desk was my husband's when he was a kid, then I painted it to use in my classroom for my assistant desk, and now, it is a great craft desk!  I have lots of zebra print accessories scattered throughout!  Notice the zebra print cork board found at Hobby Lobby & the adhesive chalk board found at Tuesday Morning.  I store my pens and office supplies in the small white 3-drawer plastic bin on my desk.

This three-drawer cart holds my craft & Moo Moo's & Tutus supplies.  The pink craft tote holds all my paper punches, scissors, and scrapbooking tools.

I found this super-cute zebra-print fabric tote at the Target Dollar Zone ($2.50) last weekend!

I covered the back of my desk (that wasn't very pretty) with zebra-print fabric & pink ribbon.  I've had the black & white toile lamp since we moved into our house.  This room used to be a "Gone With the Wind" guest room (hence the paint color: Scarlett's Velvet).

I LOVE my chair!  It was a flea market find last summer for $10 (already decorated).  It just makes me happy!  I call it my Dancing with the Stars chair because of the bright colors, sequins, and feathers! :)

These blue shelves were made by my husband for my classroom.  Now, they hold Noah's big toys just perfectly!

Here is Noah's kitchen & McDonald's area.  The McDonald's was a yard sale find for $3.  He likes to serve us milkshakes and chicken nuggets.

To store Noah's puzzles, I put them in 2-gallon zipper bags, so that the pieces don't get lost!

Here is my new Tiny Teach storage area.  Each month, I buy or make manipulatives for Noah & I needed a place to store them.  I moved all the odds & ends off of these storage unit and found these awesome polka-dot fabric totes at Dollar Tree.  I then made labels for each month and tied them on with polka-dot ribbon.  I just need to get a few more to fill up the spaces!  I've only been doing Tiny Teach with Noah since September!

A close-up of next month's box full of Valentine teaching goodies!

This storage unit holds the majority of Noah's little toys.  I made picture labels for them, so that he can learn to put things back where they belong.  *It's never too early to teach organization, right? :)

I have to say a big THANK YOU to my awesome friend, Jenny, for giving up one of her Snow Days to help me organize!

So, I hope you've enjoyed your tour through toy-land!  One project marked off my Organization To-Do List!  YAY!!!  Have a great Thursday!
I know I'm way behind on the 21 Day Challenge at A bowl full of lemons, but I'm now playing catch up!

I love your Tiny Teach Organization. I'm struggling with that too. Gives me something to think about :-)
