My Halloween House Tour - Entryway {with a freebie}

Welcome to my home in the fall!  If I haven't already mentioned it enough...I. LOVE. FALL!!!!  I think it is the best time to decorate, when the weather gets a little cooler, and the leaves change to brilliant, bright colors!

So, come on in & make yourself at home!

my front door wreath

My wreath was very simple {and cheap} this year!  I used a small grapevine wreath from Hobby Lobby, wrapped & hot glued sparkly wired purple ribbon with black fuzzy trim from the Dollar Tree, and attached a sassy witch silhouette with the saying, "Stay for a Spell!"

If you want a Miss Sassy for your very own, just click on the image below to make it bigger, then right-click, & save to your computer!

My Entryway

I wanted to use black & white decor items for my entryway this year & I love how it all came together & looks very chic & spooky!

{White Toilet Paper Pumpkin & Dollar Tree Cake Stand}
I've seen these pumpkins floating around blogland this fall & HAD to make one!  They were so easy & quick to make (my crafts have to be quick, Lil' Pumpkin's naptime goes fast)!  For this one, I used a quilted fabric napkin for the pumpkin, a paper lunch sack for the stem, & tied black ribbons around the stem for the "leaves"!

I made the plate stand by gluing a Dollar Tree glass plate to a glass candlestick holder.  It was my first experience with Gorilla Glue~wow!  :)

{Dollar Tree Pedestal Hurricane with a Ghost Candle}
I was lulled into Dollar Tree glass dish making by Staci at Lizard & Ladybug & she was right, once you make one, you can't stop!  I simply used a flaired vase & glass candlestick holder to make this one.  Then, to make my ghost candle, I used a candle that had already been burned down a bit, which made the ghost shape more realistic. To make the face, I simply drew it with a black sharpie onto white computer paper & cut it out.  Then, I used glue dots to adhere the face to the candle!  BOO!  It scares me every morning! *wink*  I filled the hurricane with black river rock, set the candle on top, and tied black skull ribbon around the base.

{Wall Display}
On the wall behind the table, I hung my Dollar Tree "Witches Way" Dessert Menu, small sparkly Boo, and a black & white photo of my little family!  That frame came from Big Lots last Spring for about $4!  I love the chunkiness of it!

{Whole view of the table}
I used a black and white striped rag rug from the Dollar Tree as a table covering.  In the center, I framed a photo collage of last year's fall pictures.  In front of the frame, I added 3 glass letters I found at Hobby Lobby to spell BOO.  A white glass pumpkin from the Dollar Tree and a metal haunted house "bag" with an electric tea light candle complete my display!

Don't forget...you still have time to link up with the Open Haunted House & be entered to win a set of my 3x3 "All Hallow's Eve" cards!  The party is open until Wednesday!

P.S. We had to make an unexpected trip to WV last week for a family emergency, so my Tiny Teach had to be postponed until this week...stay tuned for A is for apples!

Thanks for the inspiration- and for featuring my rag-wreath on a previous blog post :)

Adorable blog! I enjoyed hearing the unmistakable creaky-door-intro from thriller upon visiting. I shall be a new follower for sure.
