Tasty Tuesday {Mini Pumpkin Pie Jars}

Whether you want an easy dessert for Thanksgiving, a cute snack for little ones, or creative Thanksgiving favors, this recipe is for you!  I found it at The Crafting Chicks, and thought I would share it with you (just in case you missed it there).

{everything you will need}

To make the cute little jars, you'll need...
1. 12 1/2-pint wide-mouth jars
2. festive ribbon
3. labels (keep reading for a FREE download)

{crust ingredients}

To make the graham cracker crust, you'll need...
1. 1.5 cups finely crushed graham crackers
2. 1/3 cup sugar
3. 6 Tablespoons butter

Directions for the crust...
1. Mix the above ingredients together and press into the bottom of each jar with your fingers.
2. Chill in the fridge.

To make the Pumpkin Cream Pie, you'll need...
1. 1 cup pumpkin (pureed)
2. 2 cups cold milk
3. 2 boxes instant vanilla pudding (3.5 oz size)
4.  1 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice
5. 1 cup frozen whipped topping (thawed) (such as Cool Whip)
6. Extra whipped topping for the top of pies

Directions for the pie...
Combine all ingredients in a bowl & mix together on low speed for 1 minute.  Spoon filling into mason jars on top of the crust.  Top with a layer of whipped topping and chill in the fridge until set (3 hours).

To finish off your cute pumpkin pie jars, tie ribbons around the rims and add a label to the top.  I made some 2" labels for you to use if you want.  Just print them on white paper or white sticker paper, cut out with a 2" circle punch or 2" scalloped punch, and adhere to the top of your jars.

Click HERE to download your page of labels.

Happy Mini Pumpkin Pie making!!!  :)

Thanksgiving Tablescapes

I love Thanksgiving!  It's a holiday that often gets overlooked because it happens to be sandwiched between two of the biggies...Halloween & Christmas!  But, Thanksgiving to me, means spending time with family & friends & just being reminded of how much you have to be thankful for.  As a child, I can remember the delicious smells of turkey & dressing filling our house as I watched the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade!  Then, my Parents & I would spend the day visiting family, eating, eating, & eating some more!  I hope that we can give Our Lil' Turkey some happy Thanksgiving childhood memories of just like the ones I will always treasure!

So, enough rambling, & on to the lovely pictures of Thanksgiving tables for both adults & kiddos that I found today!  Click on each link for details & tutorials.

Well, friends, I FINALLY finished my Thanksgiving Tiny Teach this past weekend!  I haven't done any of these activities with my Lil' Turkey yet, but I wanted to share it with you so you could enjoy it with your little ones before Thanksgiving!  I'm offering it as a FREE DOWNLOAD because I care so much about teaching our little ones (either at home or in the classroom)  & making learning FUN!   If you decide to download it, PLEASE leave me a comment, just so I know if it's being used!  :)   That would make me feel better about the mAnY hours I spent compiling all the ideas!

The unit includes learning activities focusing on the letters Ii & Tt.  T is for turkeys and Thanksgiving and I is for Indians.  Ok, I know the politically correct name is Native Americans, & I will stress to my child that's their "real name," but I really wanted to teach the letter Ii right now, & it fit!  I hope I don't offend anyone with that term.  I'm 1/8 Cherokee Indian, so I definitely don't want to upset my distant ancestors!

Here's a peek into the unit...

So, here it is...the entire 32 page Thanksgiving Unit.
Click the picture to download.
I hope you enjoy!

One more thing...I just realized that I didn't announce the winner of the I Love it All Giveaway!  So...the winner is...

Staci, of Lizard & Ladybug,
CONGRATS, Staci, you win a $20 gift card to the etsy shop,  I Love it All!  Monika, the shop owner, will be in touch with the details soon! :)

This year, since Our Lil' Turkey is old enough to understand what being thankful is, I want to make a Thankful Tree to display during November in our home!  So, as I was doing some blog searching to get inspired, I came across several C.U.T.E trees!  Take a look!

I am thankful for so many crafty people out there giving me so much inspiration to make our own tree!!!
