Tasty Tuesday {Mini Pumpkin Pie Jars}

Whether you want an easy dessert for Thanksgiving, a cute snack for little ones, or creative Thanksgiving favors, this recipe is for you!  I found it at The Crafting Chicks, and thought I would share it with you (just in case you missed it there).

{everything you will need}

To make the cute little jars, you'll need...
1. 12 1/2-pint wide-mouth jars
2. festive ribbon
3. labels (keep reading for a FREE download)

{crust ingredients}

To make the graham cracker crust, you'll need...
1. 1.5 cups finely crushed graham crackers
2. 1/3 cup sugar
3. 6 Tablespoons butter

Directions for the crust...
1. Mix the above ingredients together and press into the bottom of each jar with your fingers.
2. Chill in the fridge.

To make the Pumpkin Cream Pie, you'll need...
1. 1 cup pumpkin (pureed)
2. 2 cups cold milk
3. 2 boxes instant vanilla pudding (3.5 oz size)
4.  1 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice
5. 1 cup frozen whipped topping (thawed) (such as Cool Whip)
6. Extra whipped topping for the top of pies

Directions for the pie...
Combine all ingredients in a bowl & mix together on low speed for 1 minute.  Spoon filling into mason jars on top of the crust.  Top with a layer of whipped topping and chill in the fridge until set (3 hours).

To finish off your cute pumpkin pie jars, tie ribbons around the rims and add a label to the top.  I made some 2" labels for you to use if you want.  Just print them on white paper or white sticker paper, cut out with a 2" circle punch or 2" scalloped punch, and adhere to the top of your jars.

Happy Mini Pumpkin Pie making!!!  :)
