{Get Crafty}: Tile Photo Coasters

Today, I finally got around to making my new coasters to match my redecorated travel-themed bedroom (pics coming soon when I get all my photos on the wall).  I wanted some coasters for my & my hubby's night stands that matched the decor, but I couldn't find anything that I really liked.  So, that phrase sounded in my head that usually gets me into trouble {"I'll just make something}.

So, I bought two 4x4 gray glass tiles at Home Depot (50 cents each), a pack of sticky-back felt pads, printed 2 black & white photos from our trip to Europe & away I went.

Materials:
 Felt Pads
 ModPodge

 Pictures

Here's how I did it...

1.  Cut the pictures down to size.
2.  Painted a coat of Modpodge on the tiles.

3.  Adhered the picture.

4.  Painted a second coat of Modpodge on top of the picture.  It looks white when it goes on, but it dries  clear.

5.  After they dried, attached the felt pads to the back.

Here's the finished product {serving its purpose with my fave drink sitting on it}

This craft project turned out lovely & I think I'm going to make my Memaw a set with all our family's pictures on them for her birthday next week! ;)

I love this! So many possibilities!
These would make great gifts for the grandparents (with pictures of my kids, of course)!
